No road is long with good company. — Kapton & Sons
Hi, I’m Abigail Kiana (or perhaps Abby to those childhood friends who know me best). I’m a mother of two beautiful cat children, hiker, minimalist, reader, artist, gardener, and lover of life and adventure. A farm girl from birth, but a mountain girl at heart. My life thus far has truly been a beautiful chaos: I seem to always find myself changing and evolving. Thankfully, I’ve been able to surround myself with people that nurture and inspire me every day.
I was born in New Bern, NC, but grew up on a farm in the tiny town of Aurora (which I consider to be my hometown). Since then I’ve moved once, leaving me right on the East Coast. While pursuing nursing, I am making plans to move to the mountains of NC and calling them home. I’m excited to take you guys on that journey! #AshevillehereIcome
I travel as often as is possible and have met some amazing people along the way. (Shoutout to Kimberly, my fairy Godmother, as always. 😉 ) During my little adventures, I have seen firsthand how beautiful a healthy / sustainable lifestyle can be. I make ALL my own products (except deodorant. . . we’re working on that one) and am a relatively new horticulturalist. I will be sharing any tips, tricks, and recipes I find useful in these areas! With this being said, no one has it all figured out (I certainly don’t!), but hopefully we can figure out a few things together.
I’ll be sharing / checking in weekly, so if that’s something you’re interested in subscribe to be the first to know when posts are up! Thank you for being here, I look forward to hanging out together. Feel free to drop a comment or two, this blog is a place to connect and inspire one another.
P. S. Here are some photos to show you bits of the journey thus far!
